Come join the Microsoft Advertising Marketplace team! We are a team of Data Analytics located across the world who are responsible for managing the marketplace for publishers across Microsoft first party and third party. Our team manages the Non-Search marketplace focused on Display, Video, and Native advertising. We focus on monitoring business metrics, defining metrics, building analytical & experimentation frameworks, and enabling leadership to make data driven decisions. We work closely with the Engineering team to build and ship the next generation of algorithms and optimizations to deliver the best value to customers and experience to users.

In-order to manage the marketplace this team has to have a deep understanding on the Ads stack as well as a curiosity and willingness to get your hands dirty with data to understand and evaluate key metrics and how our releases impact the business.

We are looking for high-energy Senior Data Analyst who is willing to work in a dynamic environment to monitor and grow our publisher performance. You will enjoy and be successful in this role if you are curious and willing to challenge the status quo and come up with data driven solutions to ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities

  • Work with large, complex data sets, solving difficulties, analysis problems with advanced analytical or statistical methods.

  • Continuously analyze and monitor the health of the marketplace, identify opportunities, and provide insights on the drivers behind performance.

  • Deliver on high impact analytical tools to diagnose and drive business critical insights to guide product and business development.

  • Work in close coordination with the Engineering team to ship next generation of algorithms and features.

  •  Evaluate the key metrics and understand the impacts of our releases to the marketplace and the bottom line

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 7+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis

  • OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 5+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with online ads

  • Experience with Programmatic Ads across Display, Native, and Video formats (Working with DSPs, SSPs, Ad Exchanges, etc.)

  • 1-2 years’ experience in programming languages such as C, C#, C++, ASP.NET, Javascript

Data Analytics IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $118,800 - CAD $214,800 per year.
