Mercer Residential Services Inc Home Coordinator in Van Wert, Ohio
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of a 4 bed home. As a Home Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The position is ideal for someone who:
- Has Supervisory experience and demonstrates ability to build a positive team environment
- Experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities
- Ensures all support services are implemented
- Performs routine paperwork, reviews all incidents
- Assures assessments are accurate and up to date
- Plan & coordinate community activities
- Provides direct care services to individuals with developmental disabilities including assistance with personal hygiene, food preparation, grocery shopping, general household cleaning, attending medical appointments, transporting individuals to appointments and activities
- Mentor new staff and ensure appropriate training is provided
- Assist with performance reviews of each staff
- Ensure policies and procedures are fully implemented
- On call rotation
- Work every other weekend
- Able to work 2nd & 3rd shifts
- Fill in when necessary
- Ability to express ideas and adapt to change
- Able to effectively communicate in oral and written form
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Must not have a criminal record that includes felonies or misdemeanors against persons that are in conflict with the requirements of the position or agency policy.
- Valid drivers license
- Active auto insurance
- 5 or less points on driving record
- Reliable vehicle
- Experience working with individuals who have a developmental disability
- Experience leading a team
- Able to pass drug test

Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
