Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 4) role to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the F/A-18 and F-5 programs. This position will be remote in the United States. The candidate will act as the Global Supply Chain F/A-18 Special Contracting Lead and have program integration responsibilities in a dynamic role with an adapting statement of work.

Essential Functions:

The F/A-18 GSCPM organization is responsible and accountable for supporting the development of strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for the F/A-18 program. The GSCPM acts as a secondary focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for Material CAM duties and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers. Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies. Is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution. Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting program cost and schedule performance.

This F/A-18 GSCPM Sr. Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 4) will specifically hold responsibility over the ongoing partial termination and descope activity being performed across the supply base for the F/A-18 program. This role will create and execute a strategy to successfully process the termination and descope activity on the F/A-18 program including coordination and collaboration with various Global Supply Chain and program office functions. This includes developing trainings, holding office hours, reviewing documentation, tracking performance, and presenting status to executive leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor's degree and 10 years of supply chain, project management , subcontracts, purchasing, contracts, finance, logistics, planning, or other GSC related field OR Master's Degree and 8 years of supply chain, project management , subcontracts, purchasing, contracts, finance, logistics, planning, or other GSC related field

  • Supply chain experience in the aerospace industry

  • Procurement or subcontracts experience

  • Experience with FAR & DFAR contracting activity and FAR familiarity

  • Experience with termination and descope activity on commercial/government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business management, supply chain, MBA, or other relevant graduate education

  • Northrop Grumman CAM Certification and experience

  • Knowledge of EVMS (NG EVMS certification or equivalent preferred)

  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and preparing executive level presentations

  • Experience in supplier negotiations

  • Experience in project or program Management

  • Government contract experience including experience working with prime contractors and government customers

  • Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range: $99,900 - $149,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
