Bausch + Lomb Quality Engineer III in Saint Louis, Missouri

Objectives:

Establish and maintain quality systems for the St. Louis site that are effective and comply with federal, state, local, and other applicable regulations and standards, as well as in accordance with internal Bausch & Lomb policies and procedures. Report on the performance of the quality system to the St. Louis site management and the St. Louis Site Management Representative (Manager, Quality Assurance – St. Louis Site). Monitor the effectiveness of quality improvements and validation activities as part of the CAPA process. Manage in processing of materials through finish product release. May supervise quality control functions (receiving, in-process inspection, product final release and complaint evaluation).

Responsibilities:

CAPA

  • Develop, establish and maintain system for corrective and preventative actions. Drive quality data analysis and coordinate activities to make product and process improvements.

Internal Audits

  • Establish and maintain internal audit system. Develop internal auditor list and internal audit schedules. Execute internal schedule per standards and regulations.

Quality Systems

  • Develop, establish and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls assuring that performance and quality of products conform to established standards and agency regulations.

Process Controls

  • Monitor product quality through inspection, testing, and auditing. Enforce statistically sound programs for sampling and process validations. Monitor environmental control, process validation and process monitoring methods, where applicable.

Metrics Management

  • Work with operating entities to establish and maintain procedures for inspection, process control, data analysis and product conformance. Issue reports on KPIs to appropriate management.

Product Surveillance

  • Assist in Product Complaint evaluations and investigations.

External Audits

  • Participate in external inspections/audits (i.e., FDA, EU Notified Body, LGA, UL, ETL, & CSA) in the St. Louis Site.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree with minimum 4 years in a quality role OR Master's of Science with 3 years of experience in a quliaty role.

  • Experience with medical instruments Class I.

  • FDA GMP training

  • Process validation

  • Statistical process control

  • Project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ)
