  1. Generate purchase orders for the acquisition of materials that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization.
  2. Utilize the MRP functionality in Chempax and maintain master data and planning parameters.
  3. Monitor and analyze material inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to support USA operations.
  4. Maintain open purchase orders, follow up with vendors and inform operations of any delays that might impact production.
  5. Review market trends and supplier lead-times, adjust planning parameters as necessary.
  6. Review historical demand patterns and sales forecasting, adjust re-order points as necessary.
  7. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with Logistics, Quality, Marketing, Sales, Receiving and Manufacturing.
  8. Work with Quality to investigate supplier quality issues, driving resolution and corrective action.
  9. Strive to minimize on-hand-inventory and increase inventory turns while ensuring manufacturing requirements are satisfied.
  10. Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier disruptions, quality issues, or geopolitical factors and develop contingency plans to manage supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  11. Support new product introductions, placing initial orders and monitoring demand.
  12. Process orders for non-inventory products as required, including facilities, office, and breakroom supplies.
  13. Provide cost savings through negotiating costs and deliveries with vendors on one-time purchases and/or contract purchases.
  14. Support accounts payable as needed to ensure payables are processed timely and accurately.
  15. Collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure market intelligence is incorporated into the sales forecast.
  16. Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participating in company safety trainings.
  17. Other tasks as assigned.
