Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Mica, Washington

Aerotek is looking for candidates with experience working as a maintenance tech/millwright!

What Is The Job?

  • You will be asked to work from schematics and perform a wide range of mechanical work using hand and power tools

  • General building maintenance

  • The ideal candidate will be working in a machine shop to provide repairs on overhead cranes and machines using Hydraulic jacking equipment, pneumatic impact tools, and hydraulic torque wrenches. This role requires you to operate forklift and bridge cranes as well as rigging for cranes.

  • Perform inspections, installs, repairs, and rebuilds on plant operating equipment, by way of reading and interpreting equipment manuals, drawings, and work orders.

  • Emergency and unscheduled repairs may also be required.

  • The position will be responsible for preventative maintenance and routine checks on production equipment to include: pneumatics and production machines, hydraulics, conveyors, pumps, fillers, agitators, and motors.

  • This position also requires that the Mechanic diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment.

  • Working on pug mills, conveyors, hammer mills, fans, hundreds of motors, etc.

  • This will be accomplished through the safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.

What Do You Need?

  • Well-rounded mechanical and electrical skills

  • Fluid power experience preferred

  • Heavy equipment repair experience

  • Must be familiar with and able to safely operate Band Saw and Hole Drilling equipment.

  • Must interact with and clearly communicate with supervisors and co-workers in a team-like atmosphere.

  • Perform housekeeping in your work area, and as otherwise assigned, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

-MUST be flexible to work varying shifts (on-call), including but not limited to: weekends, nights, and/or overtime as required. This is a full-time position

-Must be able to disassemble and rebuild multiple types of equipment.

-Working with mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding (Wire Feed & Rod), as well as Oxygen/ Acetylene, and Plasma Cutting.

-Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

-Willingness to work around large manufacturing equipment and furnaces, as well as operate heavy equipment as necessary.

-Effectively handle multiple priorities with minimum supervision.

-Support LEAN implementation and actively engage in lean activities
