Summary

Prepares and maintens accurate accounts payable records using established policies and procedures in order to properly reflect operating results and financial position. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develops other skills in some area of Accounts Payable, i.e., filling out request for voiding checks, stop payments, reconcile vendor statements, & other duties as required.

• Researches vendor problems and expedite resolution of problems.

• Reviews PO135 and AP252 reports.

• Responds in timely manner to emails received in personal and department email boxes.

• Pulls invoices from GHX site when necessary to enter in Lawson.

• Completes assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Minimum: Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Experience

Preferred: 2 years experience in Accounts Payable.

Minimum: Previous Accounts Payable experience.

Special Skills

Preferred: Strong analytical skills desired. Ability to handle a large volume of paperwork & phone calls.

Minimum: Excel spreadsheet, Word, computer literate. Ability to operate a calculator and copy machine.
