About The Opportunity

Leadof the E/E Systems & Software Program Engineering Management team. Overall management and development of Best Cost Country Outsourcing Partners.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Technical and disciplinary lead of theE/E Systems and Sw Program Engineering Management team

  • Ensure high quality in program planning and execution

  • Ensure transparency on program status

  • Manage resource planning and development of the staff

  • Develop Program management processes, methods, and tools for global use

  • Improve efficiency in program management

  • Meet timing, cost, budget and performance targets

  • Manage and develop Best Cost Country Outsourcing Partners for Software & Electronics in close collaboration with the stakeholders (Management, Teamleaders, global Sw & Electronics teams, …)

  • Ensure high quality and efficiency in Best Cost Country execution

  • Lead Know How transfer to Best Cost Country

  • Manage Outsourcing budget

  • Actively engage Best Cost Country teams to avoid attrition

  • Manage risks

  • Report to management, stakeholders and customers

  • Foster efficient collaboration with other departments and stakeholders (e.g. AWD/eDrive Systems Program Management, Vehicle Integration, etc.)

  • Support new business acquisitions and program initiation

Formal qualifications


  • Engineering degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent

  • Project management certification


  • Education in continuous improvement methods (e.g. Six Sigma)

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required


  • Deep experience in Automotive Software & Electronics development (at least 5 years)

  • Proven experience in Outsourcing management and development of Offshore teams (“track record”)

  • Strong leadership and management skills (minimum 20 reports)

  • Strong communication skills

  • Skilled handling of customers and suppliers

  • Software process & methods competency

  • Basic knowledge of Automotive SPICE

  • Basic knowledge of ISO26262

  • Basic knowledge of AUTOSAR

Language Skills (Highlight if Essential or Desired)

  • Must be fluent in English (Essential)

  • German desirable

  • Indian language skills beneficial
