Boeing Global Services is currently seeking Experienced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Process Engineer to become part of the Engineering Tools Team in one of the listed location options ( Hazelwood, MO, Long Beach, CA, Mesa, AZ, Fort Walton Beach, FL, or Philadelphia, PA. Oklahoma, City, Ok ).

The selected candidate will work with a team of Product Data Management (PDM) Engineers, Process Engineers, Design Engineers. Product Support Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to support military aircraft and missile systems programs with their PDM systems. Our team provides process and tool support for the design manufacturing, and product support engineers that use the PDM systems. We are also responsible for ensuring that the PDM systems meet current customer requirements and are updated as needed to support Boeing improvement initiatives.

The primary assignment for this position is to provide process and tool support for the C-17 program at the Boeing - Long Beach site as well as initial support for BGS programs at the Boeing – Saint Louis site. This includes supporting Design and Manufacturing Engineers as well as Product Support individuals in performing their work using the Teamcenter PDM and associated applications.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with program engineers to resolve issues with their usage of Teamcenter and other applications related to engineering design and manufacturing processes.

  • Working with key program individuals in regards to key program activities including training new users, update schedule.

  • Supporting engineering and Product Support data delivery to suppliers and customers in specified formats.

  • Coordinating with new programs site to define configuration and data management requirements and configuring Teamcenter to support their needs.

  • Working with Systems Engineering, Product Support representatives and program representatives to understand Model Based Engineering (MBE) requirements and implement them using existing PDM tools.

  • Working with cross-functional teams to understand customer and corporate requirements for digital data management and distribution and implement them using our existing PLM systems.

  • Supporting PDM system transition activities such as data migrations, data validation and system testing.

  • Analysis of engineering data across applications to find issues and determine how to correct the data to ensure consistency.

  • May be requested to support additional programs and/ or defense contracts.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options ( Hazelwood, MO, Long Beach, CA, Mesa, AZ, Fort Walton Beach, FL, or Philadelphia, PA, Oklahoma, City, Ok ). This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • 5+ years’ experience with the PDM system at both the user level and working directly with engineering data housed within the PDM.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter.

  • Experience using Siemens NX and/or Catia for engineering design.

  • Experience with processes used for product design is required and experience integrating with other disciplines, such as manufacturing engineering, is desired.

  • 5+ years’ experience working with and/or coordinating across engineering disciplines to identify best practices and implement on multiple programs.

  • 5+ years’ experience working with data export techniques and data analytics.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $108,800 - $147,200.
