GENERAL FUNCTIONS

The Process Technician in Cutting and TFC will be responsible for startup, shutdown, maintenance, troubleshooting, automated and semi-automated Cutting and TFC equipment used to manufacture lenses for Oakley sunglasses. These duties will be in addition to assisting in performing root cause analysis (process/equipment) as needed when equipment breaks down.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stabilize, sustain and improve existing processes

  • Preventative maintenance/Repair on machines as needed

  • Collaborate with engineering to enhance and debug processes, equipment, and new products

  • Drive process improvements

  • Process troubleshooting on machines

  • Process observation, development, and documentation

  • Work closely with, and communicate with, all other production and tech support team

  • Responsible for start-up, process verification, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of any issues related to the coating process or the associated equipment.

  • Documents and communicates with other Process Technicians, Process Engineers and Shift Supervisor results of problem solving and any deviations from established methods or procedures that may be necessary to resolve specific issues.

  • Supports Process Engineers in development of new processes, parameter optimization and process improvements.

  • Assist the Production Supervisors in training of the associates for line operation and monitoring what the associates will be required to complete as part of the process controls.

  • Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma

  • 1-2 years of hands on manufacturing experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and other general computer programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification from a technical school, highly desired.

  • Thin Film Coating, CNC experience is a plus

  • Experience with, YUMI ABB Robot and/or other automated equipment

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost effectiveness, and other techniques to ensure efficient production of quality products.

​Pay Range: [[21.67]] - [[31.81]]

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
