The Import/Export Licenses Administrator is responsible for the company’s import and export requirements to ensure US government compliant shipments to and from foreign customers. The Administrator will manage licensing and agreement activities, and maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.The position requires fulfilling customer requests to comply with foreign customs requirements, while being cognizant of what is or is not acceptable under US law. The position requires working with internal and external contacts to help provide timely receipt or shipment of customer products.


  • Collect information and collaborate to ensure the proper jurisdiction, determination and classification of products, technology, technical data, software and machines.

  • Commodity classification and re-classifications (USML and ECCN)

  • Support Foreign National's activities included but not limited to developing/managing Technology Control Plans.

  • Identifying the recordkeeping requirements.

  • Assist with training employees on Export Control requirements as needed.

  • Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.

  • Work closely with internal customers to develop export authorizations that allow for the efficient export of technology, technical data, hardware, and services, and applying international trade regulations and laws to real-life situations to enable international business to support programs with international activities.

  • Participate in the preparation, approval, submission and management of license applications, ensuring consistency, and accuracy.


  • Prior years of experience performing work related to Export or Import, Trade Compliance or Licensing:

  • Administrator I: 0 - 2 years of experience

  • Administrator II: 3 - 5 years of experience

  • Senior Administrator: 6 – 9 years of experience

  • Principal Administrator: 10 – 14 years of experience

  • Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

  • Experience with Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) and Manufacturing Licensing Agreement (MLA) preparation/administration a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple business functions for success

  • US citizenship or evidence of authorization to work in the US for any employer for an indefinite amount of time.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Key Responsibilities


  • Bachelor’s degree desirable

  • Certified United States Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) certification or similar preferred

  • Manufacturing industry trade compliance experience.

  • US Customs Broker license a plus.


  • Excellent customer relation/interpersonal skills

  • Detail oriented with strong sense of urgency.

  • Willing to take on challenges and accept stretch assignments.

  • Self-starter who can develop effective networks with internal customers
