Capital Farm Credit Loan Administration Assistant Manager - South TX in Edinburg, Texas

Description/Job Summary

LOCATION:

  • The successful candidate will need to be located within the Brush Country Submarket. The offices in the submarket include Robstown, Edinburg, Laredo, and Harlingen.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or finance or related field or experience deemed equivalent by Capital Farm Credit

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five (5) or more years' of experience in all aspects of loan administration

  • History of progressively responsible administrative positions with proven, high quality performance in previous roles along with satisfactory completion of documented leadership training and development.

  • Incumbent will have demonstrated performance and skills requisite for leadership development.

  • Good standing in current and/or previous employment (required).

  • Strong work ethic that supports a willingness to handle multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Leads, supervises, and coordinates loan administration, customer service, and office administration activities for a team of loan administrative staff within a defined submarket. Assists with the delegation of office workload to staff to ensure efficient operations. Assists in the hiring process for new loan administration staff. Completes performance evaluation and salary administration for direct reports.

  • Leads, supports, and trains administrative staff to deliver excellent customer service on a consistent basis including effectively answering customer inquiries, resolving customer issues and concerns, answering questions related to product offerings and loan transactions, and facilitates communication between internal departments and external parties involved in the loan process.

  • Maintains expert knowledge and consistently performs all duties associated with loan administration, office administration, loan accounting, credit servicing, content management, reporting and customer service processes.

  • Possesses and maintains detailed knowledge of cooperative structure, patronage program, and CFC product offerings with the ability to discuss complex loan transactions and products with customers on a conversational basis.? Identifies, and trains others to identify, cross selling opportunities of other CFC products and refers to appropriate lending staff to meet those needs.

  • Oversees and trains administration staff in the recording of new loans, establishing relevant files, processing loan transactions, maintaining a variety of loan records to ensure compliance with CFC standards. Ensures documented processes are in place and manages the maintenance and monitoring of loan requirements and reporting requirements.

  • Maintains advanced and up-to-date knowledge of regulations, procedures, policies, and processes and will independently research and apply them as required; possesses the ability to explain and coach others in this regard. Ensures compliance with all required internal controls. Monitors reports and associated correspondence, as required, following approved CFC procedures, for a defined subregion.

  • Demonstrates advanced ability to navigate, and train others to navigate CFC programs and systems used in lending and office administration.

  • Leverages knowledge, experience, and expertise to assist in the identification and development of processes needed to gain efficiency, reduce loan exceptions, and increase productivity.

  • Participates in projects initiated by CFC as a subject matter expert, as needed. Shares knowledge and expertise, promotes consistency through regular communication with management, peers, and staff.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

General knowledge of:

  • Leadership and management best practices.

  • Coaching, training, and mentoring practices.

  • Accounting/financial systems.

  • Computer systems and office equipment used for file management and file classification practices and retrieval of business information.

Specialized knowledge of:

  • Loan documentation with emphasis on commercial or agriculture lending, familiarity with consumer lending.

  • Title insurance, Uniform Commercial Code, crop insurance, flood insurance, and credit life insurance documentation.

  • Documentation requirements for title policies, deeds of trust, UCC financing statements, and other collateral documents.

  • Professional verbal and written correspondence principles.

  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Organization and time management practices.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Working in a collaborative environment.

  • Critical thinking skills.
