We now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Director Business Development, Cell Therapy to join our team at Invetech! As a Sales professional, you will play a crucial role in driving top-line growth for our worldwide Cell Therapy business. What you will deliver:

  • Prospect new customers to increase Sales Generated leads and convert into profitable business relationships.

  • Promote and sell the core services relating to Invetech’s Cell Therapy business unit.

  • Build a pipeline of opportunities with the help of business group resources in the U.S. and Melbourne.

  • Develop and maintain long-term client and business partner relationships with potential and existing customers - leading to sales opportunities and client satisfaction.

  • Generate new proposals and work closely with field leaders to refine value hypothesis and account strategy and support the conversion process.

  • Lead and negotiate modifications to Invetech’s terms of business with the support of the business group senior management and legal counsel.

  • Manage and update SalesForce to include relationship and key contact development progress and forecasts to internal partners.

  • Represent Invetech at association meetings, seminars, and trade shows to promote Invetech’s services and products.

  • Being an active member of the Invetech commercial team, enthusiastically engaging in strategy development, problem-solving, and supporting Invetech-wide initiatives.

  • Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective clients.

  • Stay fully engaged with economic buyers and key decision influencers throughout the sales process to ensure a high deal win-rate.

    What you will bring:

  • Exposure and extensive knowledge in the cell and gene therapy industry.

  • Good understanding of process development and GMP manufacturing in relation to cell therapy.

  • A highly technical product development background with experience in selling services, scoping projects, addressing clients, and leading customer expectations.

  • Consistent track record of customer prospecting, B2B sales execution, business insight, and client relationship development skills

  • First-hand knowledge of all aspects of B2B sales, including strategy, prospecting, key account management, funnel management, value selling, relationship selling, price management, and contract negotiations.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as biology, commerce, or engineering; postgraduate qualifications, such as an MBA, are highly desirable.

  • Extensive exposure to and success in a dynamic, growth-oriented business environment; proven experience post-graduation.

  • Experience and agility to operate in a matrixed organization.

San Diego, CA: The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $138,490 - $257,070

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
