job summary:
Full time-Direct hire, PLC Controls Specialist- Brandenburg, KY area. Local client is seeking PLC Controls Specialist. Position is paying a total compensation up to $120,000 + full benefits, tremendous work culture and future career path for growth. Candidates must be willing to work a rotating swing shift that is 4 on and 4 off. Position will rotate from days to nights every week.

responsibilities:
The successful candidate will coordinate housekeeping/safety efforts, be part of a team that performs maintenance on, repairs and improves the equipment at the plant as well as supporting the overall operation of the manufacturing process. Safely maintain electrical equipment and components throughout a steel manufacturing plant, including electrical and electronic equipment and components, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). This includes, but is not limited to: troubleshooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, aggressively pursuing process improvements, assisting with documentation and training for all equipment, and other duties as assigned. Must be willing to work rotating shifts. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within the plant; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards

The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
standing for 4 hours at one time
working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
working weekends qualifications:
Experience level: Entry Level
Minimum 1 year of experience
Education: High School (required)skills:
Electrical theory (3 years of experience is required)
PLC (1 year of experience is preferred)
