Senior Manager Technology - Retail Digital The Senior Manager will be responsible for digital solutions with expertise in Identity and Access Management (IDP), React and digital technologies to build micro-applications on modern architecture and provides thought leadership to build and deliver effective technical solutions for the bank's customers. Leads the development of the strategic roadmap for products and platforms. Lead technical agile teams that will deliver solutions that meet the objectives of both technology and the lines of business. Effectively manage multiple objectives including scope, enterprise architectural standards, risk, assumptions, staffing plans, cost, operational requirements etc. This manager would be a technical leader, a thoughtful people manager and a hands-on engineering leader with relentless focus on operational and engineering excellence. This leader will play a critical role in driving innovation and technical excellence with Comerica. They will be responsible for building and architecting world class digital products. Position Responsibilities: Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers the Digital Engineering teams. Ensure cohesive and transparent communication as well as collaboration between the Technology organization and its business partners. Ensure the digital product incorporate the end user feedback and build products that are effective and invoke a positive customer experience. Continuously improve software engineering practices and set guardrails to ensure consistent development practices using React framework and build assets in the AWS cloud. Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community. Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity. Review, recommend, and oversee all vendors and managed service agreements for computing, telecommunications, IT services, and equipment. Leadership to collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmap on agile methodology to ensure continuous delivery, using industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and latest technology practices. Proactively identify and mitigate security risks. Effectively provide engineering and technical leadership: the ability to inspire your colleagues and teams to engineer and deliver quality software solutions. Exhibit great attitude, be a team player and high energy amplifier. Manage the operational and project plans within retail digital. Strategy Partner with corporate functional leaders and execute a technology strategy that will enhance overall business capabilities. Stay abreast of technology industry trends and best practices. Continuously transform the organization to increase efficiencies and reduce overall expense. Partner with innovation team to test and learn emerging technology and its viable applicability to enhance corporate business capabilities. Delivery Planning and Execution Create, prioritize, plan and execute portfolio/product roadmaps through collaboration with Product Management and DevOps, including the on-going resequencing of projects in the portfolio roadmap as priorities shift. Complete 90% of projects within 5-10% of approved funding and 1 month of baselined completion date. Reduce time to market by utilizing Agile methodologies. Provides insights on risks based on broad experience. Develops project risk profile, mitigation plan and contingency plan.
