Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our high-performing Quality Team in Auburn, CA/ Vian Enterprises.

The Quality Engineer I works under immediate supervision and uses established procedures to control andmonitorquality, ensuring products are consistent with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze production data such as yield, rework, and scrap to evaluate product quality and identify opportunities for process improvement.

  • Conducts root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions.

  • Serve as customer advocate, stopping production if serious product defects are present and collaborating with the Value Stream team for resolution.

  • Monitor quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Instruct others in quality control and analytical procedures, serving as subject matter expert in the Value Stream team.

  • Produce reports regarding non-conformance of products or processes, root cause analyses, or quality trends; recommend actions, and participate in team driven resolution.

  • Review statistical studies, regulatory standards and trends in the field of quality to identify best practices and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate identification of key process characteristics and deployment of SPC, sampling procedures and control plans to reduce product variation.

  • Drive qualification of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted.

  • Serve as area focal for quality audits with Defense, Aerospace and Customer Auditors.

  • Provide support for failure analysis and reliability testing as required. Engage in FRACAS process to drive lessons learned from field failure and repair data into engineering design improvements.

  • Review and approve quality document changes (ECO, MCO, deviations).

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Experience:0-2years ofQuality Engineering experience

  • Knowledge:Understands fundamental concepts, practices and proceduresof assigned product or program; Knowledge ofcommonly-usedconcepts, practices, and procedures within the field

  • Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;Full color acuity; Ability to managemultiple projects concurrentlyin order tomeet company standards and deadlines.

  • Education/Certification:BA or BSdegree in Quality Engineering, IndustrialEngineeringor a related field

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Salary range: $60,800 to $90,800. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
