GKN Automotive AME Regional Compliance Quality Mgr in Alamance, North Carolina

Responsible for the effective management and integration of Driveline Excellence Standards, whilst assuring Governance and Compliance with all Quality related Legislative, Third-party Certifications and customer requirements. Facilitate timely analysis and closure of all internal and external concerns

Key responsibilities

Regulatory and Compliance Management

Monitor and apply new/revised policies, procedures and standards disseminated from Customers and GKN Driveline Excellence System to integrate within the Region Quality Management System. Support the Regional sites with the identification, release and deployment of new/revised policies, procedures, lesson learned and customer specific requirements. Lead or participate in training of site staff to assure understanding and alignment to requirements.

Quality Management System

Standardize the Business Processes across the Regional sites - manage the replacement of the site QMS to achieve full compliance to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 Standards as well as the DES, including collaboration with other GKN Driveline Sites to identify and implement other Standardization opportunities. Maintain quality management system across the region to achieve overall strategic objectives, performance and quality targets of the business.

Regulatory Affairs

Take responsibility for providing specific elements of the regulatory affairs service with guidance from senior colleagues.

Audit Compliance

Manage and participate in site audit in the Region s to ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 Standards, APQP requirements (PLQR) , Global LL compliance, DES, and Customer Specific Requirements. Support preparation and follow up of external audits for Regional sites. Gain and then maintain appropriate certifications required for auditing and problem solving.

Organizational Capability Building

Implement a standard and effective Core Process Compliance in the Regional sites. Report status of compliance and responses for each Regional site to key stakeholders monthly to facilitate compliance to all Quality, Regulatory and Customer requirements within the agreed upon timing of the action plans received.

Performance Management

Facilitate and improve problem solving methodology to ensure timely closure of internal and external concerns. Track and reduce repeat concerns to reduce overall risk to the business and increase customer satisfaction

Leadership and Direction

Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.

Support Quality Director activities.

Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.
